I know how you feel, but how often have you just admitted to others that you have a stutter when you're speaking ad get stuck on a word? In my experience people find the honestly endearing more than anything. It's really helped me, and I think objectively, someone admitting they have a stammer when speaking is less strange that someone just struggling to get a particular sound out.
