We give our stutter too much power over our lives. IMO, one of the best things you can do to retake your life is to stop letting your stutter factor into your decisions. Not an easy thing to do. >I feel like I was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole ever since the day I was born You may feel this way, but it doesn't have to be a life sentence. Another action you can take is to seek out professional speech therapy. With the right program and hard work, you can greatly improve your fluency. I recently saw a post here about someone who made dramatic improvement in a matter of two months. They said they worked a couple of hours a day at their fluency. In my case, it took me closer to six months. But I wasn't putting in the several hours a day. Probably under an hour a day. Make a change for the better today!
