Any short term help?

Any short term help? Hi guys! I've never really been active here before because my stutter is usually pretty mild, but in the past couple of months or so it's been getting worse, so I'm here for a little advice. Over Christmas I'm going to be meeting some members of my SO's family for the very first time and I'd really like to have my speech in a respectable state if possible. It's not that I'm scared of them judging me (well maybe a little...), I just don't want to make our first meeting very uncomfortable. So are there any techniques or exercises I can practice in the next couple of weeks which might help me reduce the frequency of my stuttering in the short term? Currently I can use a very robotic and slow speech where everything is pre-planned and comes out fluently, but I can only say shorter sentences in it, because everything has to be planned, and it's quite tiring to concentrate on every sound in the sentence like this. I'm sorry, I know I'm expecting the impossible really, but if there's anything I can do to just make the stutter a little better for a few days, it would be wonderful.
