>we, no matter how intelligent we are, cannot I understand you may have had bad dating experiences, but this is simply untrue. Right now I'm single, but I've been in two serious relationships and dated several women who didn't care about my stutter; and before anyone assumes anything: yes, my stutter is very much noticeable, even severe at times. Also, take a look at all the posts about dating and relationships: plenty of people who stutter, male and female, found a partner, married them, and had children. While it may be harder for us to find someone who accepts our speech impediment (due to our own self-deprecating thoughts more than anything), I think it's also a blessing in disguise, because it allows us to quickly weed out shallow-minded and ignorant people, and that's not the kind of people we want to focus on. Right now I'm not doing that well, but I never lose hope that there's a woman out there for me, because I know I'm a loving and caring partner. Don't lose hope either.
