I educate myself and try to be proactive. Take action to move forward and improve. The three things I recommend (If you live in the US) are: 1) Attend an NSA conference. This is the best opportunity to learn and explore and not feel alone anymore. This year's conference just passed but maybe you can go next year. http://www.westutter.org/annual-conference/ 2) In the meantime, go to an NSA chapter. These are local support group meetings where you can meet other people who stutter, support each other, practice in a safe environment, or whatever else you need. http://www.westutter.org/find-an-nsa-meeting-near-you/ 3) Listen to www.stuttertalk.com podcast. It's an amazing podcast by people who get it. There are a lot of episodes but if you are new to this stuff and don't know a lot, go through the early episodes. Listen to them at work or on your commute or when you're down or whenever.
