The fact that you're willing to put yourself out there and be somewhat vulnerable is the hardest part if you ask me. In the past I briefly run it by people and say something along the lines of "Sometimes I have difficulty getting words out." Its subtle but it also puts me at ease knowing that I dont have to try to hide the fact I stutter. Like others have said, if the manager can't see you for you as a worker then he's not someone I'd like to work for. As long as you get the job done I see no issue whatsoever.
