Had anyone noticed that they react faster, for example to a joke?

Had anyone noticed that they react faster, for example to a joke? Stuttering is connected to brain activity so I thought about all those times when someone tells a joke and I can clearly hear that I laugh first, while everyone else starts laughing like half a second later. Is there anyone who also reacts faster than others?
