Have you tried speech therapy as an adult ?

Have you tried speech therapy as an adult ? I have stuttered since I was 5/6 or so. Now, as an adult, I wished my parents took me to a speech therapist. (Don’t hold grudges against them but I do feel bad). I am contemplating seeking professional speech therapist but not sure if it is worth given that I am over 20. My insurance covers the speech therapy with minimal copays so I was going to give it a shot. Wondering if you seen speech therapist as an adult and if it made any difference ?
