I have this happen too with breathing being irregular, giving out of breath very quickly and needing to take many breaths every few words. It doesn’t happened too often to me, I think it’s linked with stuttering, I know that “Apraxia of Speech” one of the symptoms is ‘breathy speech’ that may play a factor too along with stress, anxiety, etc.
