A friend of mine stopped talking to me when I was in 5th grade. He couldn't come up with an excuse so he passed a piece of paper to a common friend writing- Don't talk to <me>, because he stutters and you'll too. This sage advice was passed on to by his mother, who thought that his child will catch stuttering from me. It took a while for me to overcome- but we're no longer friends (apart from Facebook).
