People probably laugh exactly after lessons if they weren't satisfied by this teacher. Human nature is such that the most conspicuous weaknesses are the subject of ridicule, etc. Basically, it's wonderful that your teacher was able to decide to take on such a challenging job as a teacher while being a stutterer!
