Netherlands, not sure if there are such laws here, but even if so I'm still kinda glad that they were honest with me. If there is a law preventing this, they would probably come up with a different excuse why they wouldn't hire me and I would have wasted time trying to improve a skill that isn't a problem in the first place. I'm probably dodging a bullet when I'm rejected because of my stutter and I'm confident that they are will find a job soon. The real pain comes from the fact that I decided years ago to not let my stutter define me. It made me way more confident and extroverted over the years to the point that I sometimes forgot that I had a stutter until people actually asked about it. So it's just hurts to hear that even though I don't let the stutter define me, and even though I'm very open and honest about who I am and what I like, I'm still seen as "just the guy with the stutter".
