cause of my stutter - solutions? i am 100 percent sure my stutter is due to my anxiety. whenever i’m in situations where i have to speak in front of people i can never get words out…meanwhile when im with my friends i don’t stutter even once. i’ve noticed my stutter has improved since high school ever since i started socializing with people more and getting out of my comfort zone. however, in interviews and public speaking it’s still horrible and i can rarely get words out because i’m nervous. i know medications don’t help with stutters but if my stutter is caused by my anxiety do you guys think it would be helpful to get prescribed a medication for anxiety? tried propranolol and it did nothing for me. zoloft made me feel worse. planning on trying lexapro because i’ve heard better results from my friends on it. thoughts?
