I worked as a cashier for a bit, had plenty of customers laugh at and berate me when I tripped up on my script or couldn't get a certain word out. It actually helped me become less embarrassed about it in a way. Any grown adult making fun of someone for a disability isn't worth our worry. Still, thankful to have been able to leave that job for one where I work on my own and rarely have to talk to anyone else, lol.
