Dating someone who stutters Hey everyone. I’m dating an incredible man who stutters. Today was the first time he brought up how stuttering has influenced his life (i.e made him prefer listening over speaking in most cases). I think he is a very eloquent and engaging speaker, and I want to try to be as supportive as possible but I’m not sure how I can do that or if I should do anything in the first place. Is it worth asking him how I can support him or would I hurt him in any way? Should I just not bring it up? How can a I support a partner who stutters?
