I am a 24 y/o female stammerer so maybe my experience will be different from yours, assuming you are male that is. I found my partner in Sixth Form when I was 17 and we are still together so he's really the only real relationship I ever had. Don't get me wrong it was hard and sometimes it still is hard. When I don't want to order sometimes he gets antsy when I want him to do it for me, just because he doesn't understand how I feel, which is totally understandable. I just need to remind him, it's not always easy and it's not always difficult. If I could give you any advice, don't feel like you need to please everybody? I think it's a trait of stammerers to avoid having confrontation, but I've learnt to just take it full on now to be honest. Be honest with yourself, make yourself happy. If someone won't give you the time of day, why would you give them yours?
