Like I mentioned in my reply to the other commenter, perhaps us males are culturally ingrained to appear stiff and strong, which makes matters worse for the less fluent populace, who probably do not have a loud voice. The clue is to 'embrace the feminine side of your voice'. Wish you all the best in your path to fluency.
