Short answer to your question is - Indian culture Long answer- I’m an Indian and in India your mba degree is highly valued and the connections you build in the campus can help you long term. yes in an ideal world ,work experience is important to get an mba , but in the context of Indian MBAs , the story changes significantly . Most of the roles offered in campus are suitable for freshers , especially into consulting, FMCG etc. For example, McK hires in India at jnr. Associate level ex-MBA while globally MBAs go at Associate level. Thanks for your encouraging words though, I appreciate that
