I took the leap and became a bartender. Being a mild/moderate stutterer with blocks, I knew the job would be a challenge and I partially expected to be fired within the first month.. But being forced to be upfront with my stutter rather than trying to hide it has helped my social character and self esteem grow exponentially! Yes, I still stutter, but I have finally excepted this small imperfection.. This week will be my 9 month mark as a bartender, and I haven't been happier with myself :)
