I worked in customer service on the phone for a few years. It was hell, specially the first months, but I needed the job so I soldiered it up and sticked to it. Now I’m thankful I did, because it did improve my speech pattern. I also took the job because it had a bonus for speaking in English (not my first language), that made me improve my English as well and be more confident speaking a different language. So, I guess a job is what you make it to be. It can be just a thing you do because of the benefits and because you need something to survive. But it can still represent an opportunity to improve.
