I understand. I have this rule of not engaging with people online unless ive met them in real life first. And let people know you have a speech impediment early. It probably wasnt your stutter that scared them off but how you handled it. Just put limits on yourself and follow them until you learn what works. And remember- dont ever expect anything from anyone. You'll just hurt yourself. Dont try to make friends, They will come I promise you. And it doesn't have to be negative. Usually another sense is amplified as a result of ur brains opposite wiring. And facetime them Before you meet. But my advice is just dont talk to anyone you havent met in person. It can get boring but it beats falling for someone and being denied later.
