That's not correct. Scientific progress is handled by scientists. It's not handled by _not_ doing science, as if someone without expertise somehow knew better than the actual scientists. What a preposterous notion. Stutter is not some sort simplistic phenomena that anyone can "research" on their own. We can share attitudes, but we're not _researching_ anything whatsoever in doing so.
