That's a fair point. Debate requires a lot of concentration and quick thinking, both of which are very difficult when our minds are pre-occupied with a stutter. To be honest, I wouldn't consider myself the funniest person. I just talk to girls the same way as boys—about anything that comes up or we find interesting, especially if it is not a crush. The most important thing is to not be afraid to stutter, which I know is easier said than done. Tell yourself that it is ok to stutter!
