I'd hate to try and hide my stutter on a date and while also trying to be myself. That doesn't really mix. Also I think it's harder to be confident when you're trying to hide a part of yourself you're ashamed of. I almost always tell people I stutter before dates. It helps put me at ease, it let's them know so they're not surprised. If they're not interested because of that, you've saved time in my opinion. One stuttering maxim, not even related to dating, is to stop mind reading. We can't do it and it literally doesn't provide us any benefit, only stress. Be the confident person you feel you are, don't hide part of it!
