I hear what you are saying. I don't think most speakers feel oppressed, they just feel unaccepted, if you know what I'm saying. I mean, most people don't point and laugh at people in wheelchairs or who walk with a limp, they just accept them for who they are. I think that's all what most stutterers want. It's a shame that some stutterers are desperate to change themselves to fit into some concept of 'normality' as defined by intolerant a\*\*holes....
