Personally, I love it when my boyfriends ask me what I would like at a restaurant and then proceed to order for both of us. I don't find it humiliating or anything; it's what gentlemen do. Something like, 'Whiskey for me, and a glass of champagne for my lady.' But I agree, don't explicitly state that you're doing it because of her stutter.
