I call this "wrong think." Wasting energy and time worrying about something. Being miserable for who knows how long. All in anticipation of something that didn't end up being all that bad. Or dwelling on it after the fact. If you're spending time worrying or stressing about something that you cannot take action to adjust, let it go. And good for you for not calling off. I always advocate not to let your stutter make decisions for you. It takes courage to face these moments.
