if it were any other disability where someone *can* technically do something, even though it’s physically uncomfortable and exhausting, would you tell them they had to? some wheelchair users can walk short distances. but people understand that they still need a wheelchair most of the time. i wish stuttering was viewed in the same light. just because i technically can talk, doesn’t mean i should have to, or that i want to.
