Good question. I know my fluency suffers when I’m not at peak mental performance (lack of sleep, stressed, etc.) so I bet it does get worse with age. But Joe isn’t an “average Joe,” so he’s under a microscope. Us regular folks will hopefully get much more grace from the people around us.
