I'm a signalling electrician for a city railway network. My job description states excellent communication skills required. Everyone even has to do a communication course on the phonetic alphabet etc because we do "safe working" processes over the phone and radio. Its never been an issue for me with a moderate stutter. People only care that I know what I'm doing. I did try to be a pilot in the RAAF though and got knocked back on my Stutter.
