I used to be in your shoes. I isolated, didn’t date, didn’t work, was severely depressed and coped by smoking weed 24/7. I eventually quit weed and started taking antidepressants. I then was able to get a job at a grocery store (I was 26 at the time). Eventually I decided to give Tinder a shot. I went on a few dates and landed up in a relationship with a really amazing person. Two years later we got married. My wife always told me that I could do more with my life and she believes in me. I started teaching myself to code and spent three years working at it. About a year ago (now 34) I started a career as a software developer. I never thought I’d have a career or get married. I always had a severe stutter and thought I was disabled. Life does it get better though. It’s not easy, and you definitely have to power through, but if I can do it, you can do it. You got this!
