Has anyone gone to speech therapy? When i was a kid I remember going to a speech therapy class a couple of times. In this class i sat at a oval shaped desk surrounded by adults trying to treat me. I remember they made me read out cards that had a animals name & a drawing of the animal. On one card that i was shown it had a drawing of a duck, i tried to say it but only “Ddddddddd” would come out. A man sitting next to the person with the card started to speak to me “ hey its ok i st st st stutter too, d d d duck” but even at the young age i was i had a gut feeling he didn’t actually stutter. Because of that experience ive never been interested in speech therapy. But as an adult feeling like he’s beginning to let his future fall apart because he cant articulate his thoughts, its time i seek help. Has anyone been to adult therapy & how is it? P.S Sorry for being cringey
