I got a new job! I applied for a job within my company. I have been with my company for 23 years and in my current position for 10 years. It was time to move on. Part of the job requirement is to make presentations in front of directors and VPs. I stuttered during my interview and told my new boss that I do stutter and how I manage it. I told him that I rock presentations because I practice the heck out of them. The first time I made a presentation to VPs, I stuttered horribly and wish I could have crawled beneath the table. But I powered through it and that experience helped me get this job. When he offered me the job, he said I was the most qualified by far. I just thought I’d share as I know there is a lot of frustration with stuttering. I believe in myself and my abilities. I hope everyone believes in themselves as well. ❤️
