My stutter is too bad to hide. Only way I can hide it is by keeping quiet. But yeah, I think even though we expect them to understand what's going on a lot of people haven't encountered stuttering before and don't know what's going on, so it's still helpful to explain. If you can, lol. "Stutter" is one of the hardest words to say. I haven't really found it to be the case that people don't mind that I stutter. They usually seem like they think it's awkward or don't want to wait for me to get my words out, especially people my own age.
