I don't stutter, but I have two very different experiences with colleagues who stutter. I know a foreign business manager with a stutter (mild? moderate? I can't really say). He acknowledges it with humour and it doesn't seem to be a problem for him at all. With his attitude he can hold an interesting speech even stuttering and I can easily imagine him as another successful politician, whose opinions I would totally hate. And I have an employee with a severe stutter. He could never make a great public speaker, but he's a very talented chemical engineer. I feel very lucky to have him working for me. What hinders him is his complete lack of self-confidence, not his speech.
