Definitely. And seeing how much harder they are to overcome compared to stuttering itself, I would focus on these externalities more than the stuttering itself if I were to have a child with stuttering. So I agree with everything you said except for the last sentence. I would nurture in them a mindset where stuttering is never the primary issue, but rather the externalities. There may be a fire (in this case stuttering) we can't help putting out, but we can ensure it doesn't spread out. And the more contained it remains, the less our lives affected by it. And the less of our lives affected by it, the more in control of our lives we are and the more positive we remain, producing a virtuous cycle instead of being stuck in a vicious one.
