Stuttering may effect his fluency but stuttering doesn't make you forget things. The guy is old and is suffering from some sort of early onset dementia. Suggesting stuttering is the cause of all his issues is just as bad as people blaming all of the times he struggles with fluency on having full blown dementia. It can be both at the same time.
