Hey question! I dont have a stutter but im currently writing a character who does. Need some help! Heya! I would like to try and write this character as best and as realistic as i possibly can so why not come here and ask! So i have a few questions if thats okay for me to ask! You dont have to answer all of them if you dont want to: 1. Has your stutter changed over the years? Did it get better/worse when you got to adulthood? When did it begin? 2. What was your experiences being at school with a stutter? How were teachers/classmates? 3. How do you feel about your stutter currently? 4. Has your stutter affected your relationships (platonic or romantic ones) in any way, even if small? 5. How do people often treat you because of your stutter? 6. What do you wish more people knew/understood about speech impediments and stutters, and what would you like represented more? 7. What do you dislike/like most about your stutter? 8. Has a stutter ever stopped you from doing certain things? 9. What in particular do you stuggle with when it comes to a stutter? Any particular words, phrases or sounds? 10. What advice or tips have you picked up over the years to help with your stutter? 11. Whats it like to experience a stutter? What do you feel/how does it make you feel? 12. How do you feel when people compliment your stutter? (Eg. “Its endearing/cute!” 13. Are there any stereotypes or negative associations you dislike about stutters? Those are all the questions i have for now! Apologies again if this is rude to ask and/or im being too formal here. I want to try and get some personal experiences from people who have a stutter so i can better understand it as much as i can. Thank you all for your time! Have a lovely day/night
