OP... Did you post to rant or did you post to argue your opinion? Based on your replies to most every reply, It seems like it's the latter. I agree with you that it is BS when people believe they would be invincible except for their stutter. That's fantasy. But because of the nature of this group, I think this is the first time I've said so. I too find some frustration in the victim mentality posts. I agree with many of the responses though regarding not getting employment due to your stutter. After working at a job for some time, and getting close with the HR manager, she confided in me that my supervisor wasn't going to hire me because of my stutter. His concern was if I didn't work out, and they let me go, that I might be able to claim discrimination based on my stutter. Kind of funny that he was going to discriminate to avoid discrimination action. We're all entitled to our rants. But I'd ask you to keep in mind that this is a support group. I believe you have the best intentions. Like I said I agree with a lot of what you said. But it's when I see you arguing in the comments that I feel you might have lost perspective of why we're in this group.
