I know what you mean. I used to stutter severely, and when trying to get words out I would use all kinds of movements to get over the block, in the end looking like I had a seizure. It got a lot better in the meantime, now I’m fluent 95% of the time. Still, I remember the feeling of alienation, embarrassment and pure loneliness very well. Im not sure why it got better, I think it has a lot to do with confidence and just going for it, pushing words out however I can. Slowly it got easier. I wish there was a recipe I could share and help people in that situation. I want them to know that it can get better. I wish I could have told myself that when I was younger.
