I was pretty pissed, it was the regional E-9 who overrode all my cadre and convinced the 06 in charge of the region. I tried to appeal, it was shut down twice. I had 2 interactions with the E-9 that were terrible with blocks and I’m sure they influenced his decision. I made my way into the civil service, deployed to I did something as a civilian. It def messed with the life plans. 1- get a degree 2- do 20 years 3- retire, get a civilian job 4- retire for real. Nope. I’ve good now, but I was super pissed and depressed for a while.
