This whole exchange is predicated on your declaration that the advice to seek out toastmasters makes no sense. So we're starting from an aggressive place. But whether or not you've been intentionally spreading anger is moot (it's subjective). The fact remains, however, that some of your posts have been perceived as confrontational (at least gutter_baller and I have felt some of your posts were confrontational. If you'd like specifics I'd be happy to point out.) This, I think is what gutter_baller is referring to when s/he indicates you're going aggro. This comment thread is particularly curious to me because there appears to be a theme that the only thing that can help stutterers is stuttering specific advice. I don't think this is true, and this is not a theme I've seen often in this sub. I'm not sure why this is. And now I'm even more confused with your indication that you weren't sure OP stuttered. After all, to quote you, > why would OP come to a stuttering sub and ask about general performance? also, OP does stutter. "toastmasters" still makes no sense. To your question of whether the people mentioned in the link were speech pathologists. Jane Fraser is the president of the National Stuttering Foundation and the other individuals mentioned are people who stutter. (While Jane does not stutter her father, the founder of the NSF, Malcolm Fraser did stutter. She has been very involved in stuttering research throughout her life).
