I am an extroverted introvert. I am much older, and I really don't care what people think of my stutter. I spent 35 years in isolation and self-discriminated many jobs and careers, lived with shame and guilt until on my 40th birthday I told myself, "I am no longer going to fight my stutter, I'm going to embrace it". There's a freedom in letting go and don't misconstrue, I did not give up, I was just literally physically and mentally exhausted due to my stutter. I learned to push myself out of my comfort zone, and now I'm a national trainer for a major medical center, and I facilitate 4 hour PowerPoint presentations all over the country........all with a stutter. Life is too short. Live your life, and nobody really cares about your stutter more than you do. (I learned this lesson the hard way) Whatever journey that you are on, find peace and live your life.
