Late onset stuttering? Hi, fellow people who stutter! As you might have guessed by the title, I have a peculiar case of stuttering that first came every once in a while when I was about 18, and now as a 23 year old it has suddenly worsened drastically within the last months, to the point that I have speech blocks in nearly every conversation. Anyone else who has experienced this or knows someone that does? It's especially frustrating for me as a socially active and outgoing person, who is used to being able to talk to anybody at anytime, and now I constantly worry if I am going to stutter in a conversation. I'm currently seeing a speech therapist for free through some local health care options (hurray for the Danish welfare state), but it's a very limited number of hours, so I'm thinking of seeing a traditional therapist as well, as my stuttering seems to be highly psychological and mainly triggered by my own awareness of it. Any tips for proceeding onwards?
