I'm rarely mad at the person for this. I myself sometimes have trouble hearing people if they're speaking softly and/or there's background noise. And I know I have a tendency to slur words a little or even just completely butcher the pronunciation. But it is incredibly annoying, especially if it's a word that I'm having trouble saying, and that there's no alternative for.
