Stuttering and Covid

Stuttering and Covid So I tested positive for Covid a few weeks back (I’m ok just dealing with the lingering symptoms now) and I went off my ADHD meds (Vyvanse) when I was in the thick of it, very high fevers and body chills. I just recently started taking it again and I’ve noticed my stutter has been really severe again. Stuttering has always been part of my life and as I’ve gotten older I’ve learned to be at peace with it being that I’ve always been very social and love conversing with people. I’ve even gotten to a point where I can mask it pretty well and most people don’t even notice it. With that said, ever since I got Covid and got back on my meds I feel like my stutter is out of control. I’m in quarantine so it’s not that big of a deal but for the first time in a long time it’s actually frustrating me. Not sure if it’s from the meds or the anxiety of having Covid. Maybe it’s both who really knows. Anyway I don’t know where I’m really going with this but I guess I just wanted to vent a little and put myself out there to anyone who is frustrated with their stutter and needs someone to hear them out. Stay safe everyone!
