I definitely think stutters (me included) notice it so much more. Many people I have met and hung out with for a while have said they didn’t notice until I told them. I have a radio show/podcast and I notice when I listen but others say they don’t. To be fair by stutter is very mild compared to how it was as a child. I guess it’s childhood trauma of the teacher going around the class to have students read out loud. I’m a teacher and I’m so careful to NEVER do anything that singles people out if they don’t want to be.
