Do stutters all have yips? Does anyone else who stutters have a hard time with Yips? So I feel like I have always had an issue with them but I never knew it had a name until I read about it online. Do a quick google search on what yips are if you’re unfamiliar. It’s basically a unexpected physical spasm that affects your ability to perform certain actions. It happens a lot with golfers apparently. It reminds me a lot of a speech block, like if your mind prevents you from physically doing an action. For example, personally if I have to write a check mark ✔️ I have to think so much about it and my mind blocks, making it a bit harder to write that check mark lol. Sounds weird I know. But I have a stutter and I also have yips with certain delicate actions. Anyone else??
