So I would really recommend the Dave McGuire course. They have an inexpensive self help book on Amazon called “Beyond Stammering: The Mcguire Program for getting good at the Sport of Speaking.” You can have the book downloaded onto your phone in minutes if you get the Amazon Kindle app. The book will go through psychological reasons for stuttering, give you a breathing technique, and inspire you to get out and practice speaking. The program will be fear inducing but use the people closest to you for support. Keep practicing the techniques and follow what the book says. Then I recommend reading “Redefining Stuttering” by John Harrison, someone who stuttered for many years and was part of the National Stuttering Association for many years. You can find a free link to the book at the website below. Free stutteringbooks.com Also, “Stuttering Mind” on YouTube is very empowering. As well as the channel “Stuttering with Olga.” Chase Gillis on YouTube is also very helpful. Ultimately you have to learn how your mind operates, what triggers you, what drives you, what from the past weighs you down, what lifts you up. Who do you think you are in relation to others, etc.? Answering all these will allow you to free your mind up a little bit, and be less surprised by the things you encounter throughout your day. Try to get a therapist to work through some of your negative feelings. I could go on and on, such as reading books on having high sensitivity, if you are a sensitive person. Ultimately your life journey must become your stuttering recovery program. Work hard, work smart, and find freedom in your mind, and in your environments. Stay in there man. You’re doing well already by making this post looking for help. Really so don’t think people care that much about another person stuttering. People have so much going on in their life. Feel free to DM me with any questions about these things I’m doing for my journey.
