Yes, it is. People who say "nah, it's on your mindset blah blah blah, just stay away from people who make fun of you" must've been raised in a pampered environment. Like, you can't just "stay away" from people, especially now that building connections is essential to have a decent life. So what I think we should do is to acknowledge that stuttering is something that hinders us in our daily lives and that mindset alone won't get you by unless you're someone born with a silver spoon who still relies on your parents.  I am literally working my a** off by myself and having a stutter makes it much harder for me. I can't give immediate instructions at work or whenever I'm trying to give CLEAR directions to an Uber driver, and also, I take so long to give my order in restaurants like, aren't these frustrating enough? I know some of you would say "just tell them that you stutter" yes I know, but there are points in our lives that we're in a hurry or just simply want to get things done quicker, so if you're one of those people who blame it on other people's mindset, then you're wrong. Acknowledging it as a disability removes the unnecessary stress it places in your heart.
